A Day in the Life: Reeves Heating & Cooling Technician
Morning Routine
My day starts bright and early at the Reeves Heating & Cooling office in Newton, Iowa. After grabbing a cup of coffee and checking the schedule, I load up my van with the necessary tools and supplies for the day’s jobs. The first stop is a routine furnace repair in Kellogg.
Furnace Repair
Upon arrival, I greet the homeowner and assess the situation. Their furnace isn’t kicking on, and they’ve been relying on space heaters to stay warm. After a thorough inspection, I diagnose the issue as a faulty ignitor. I quickly replace the part and ensure the furnace is operating safely and efficiently.
AC Service
Next up is an AC service call in Colfax. The homeowner has reported that their air conditioning unit isn’t cooling as well as it used to. I perform a comprehensive inspection, checking the refrigerant levels, cleaning the coils, and replacing the air filter. After making a few adjustments, the system is running like new, and the homeowner is thrilled with the improved performance.
Lunch Break

Wrapping Up
As the day winds down, I head back to the Reeves Heating & Cooling office in Newton to restock my van and complete any necessary paperwork.
